Inventory and Quality

Since 2005, EasySpheres has been a specialized worldwide supplier of high-quality, first-run solder spheres for the electronics and micro-component assembly markets. We maintain a large inventory of sphere alloys and diameters and specialize in fulfilling small and medium orders quickly and accurately, alongside volume supply for production.

Availability

Inventory is reviewed continuously against every order placed and shipped. We use that data to track demand by part number and adjust stock monthly and quarterly, and we hold a factored safety stock for every alloy and diameter based on purchase history, trend analysis, and the known requirements of our top customers.

In-stock orders placed before 2:00 PM Pacific on a business day ship the same day, and our on-time ship record is greater than 95%. Items not in stock are typically 6 to 8 weeks for bulk spheres and 2 to 3 weeks for tape and reel.

The bottom line: You can rely on EasySpheres to have stock on the alloys and diameters you use most.

Incoming Quality Control

Inventory is stored and shipped first in, first out, and every incoming lot passes a receiving inspection audit before it is released to stock. These audits include:

  • Lot number control and review of alloy purity against IPC J-STD-006
  • Dimensional tolerance and accuracy (Cp and Cpk)
  • Sphericity tolerance analysis (standard deviation)
  • Surface appearance review for oxidation and luster
  • Scheduled calibration of mass measurement equipment
  • RoHS segregation and inventory flow control
  • Barcode and lot-code traceability from receipt to shipment

A Certificate of Conformance ships with every order, with lot-level traceability to the source lot, including composition analysis, solidus and liquidus temperatures, size distribution, and sphericity data. EasySpheres is not third-party certified at this time; we run our business to the standard mandated by our ISO 9001:2015 quality manual, and standard quality documentation is available on request.

Shelf Life and Storage

EasySpheres assigns shelf life in a manner consistent with industry protocols so that product is viable at the time of use. Shelf life is two years from the date of shipment from the EasySpheres facility; product is held sealed in controlled inert storage until it ships.

Spheres are packaged in medical-grade, ESD-safe containers designed to resist surface darkening from transit tumbling, QR-coded for lot traceability. Keep the container unopened and undisturbed in storage. Refrigeration is not recommended and does not extend shelf life. Normal fluctuations in room temperature do not affect shelf life. Avoid contamination from contact with fingers, foreign objects, or moisture.

Supply Continuity

Our factored safety stock is sized to absorb regional disruptions in supply, so a shortage upstream does not become a shortage for our customers. We maintain a broad inventory across all stocked alloys and diameters, and our goal is to ship every in-stock order complete on the day it is received.
